A light jaal carried across the whole body in chamki and jarkan, so the tissue catches light without picking up bridal weight.

Details
Tissue is the one fabric where you can cover the whole body and still hand someone a saree they can wear for six hours. The jaal is worked in chamki with jarkan at the intersections — reflective rather than heavy — and the pallu steps up to zardozi so there is still a focal point. We keep the pleat zone deliberately lighter; that is the difference between a saree that drapes and one that stands away from the body. How it is made Worked in sections on the frame and joined at the seams so the fabric is never stretched under its own weight. Jarkan is set in metal cups, each cup stitched down rather than glued, because glue on tissue shows through from the reverse. What it suits Receptions and sangeet. Works best with a contrasting plain or medium-work blouse so the body jaal stays the subject.
| Work tier | Heavy work |
|---|---|
| Coverage | Full body jaal — 70–80% of the drape |
| Materials | Zardozi, Jarkan stone, Sequin (chamki), Pearl & bead |
| Motifs | Jaal lattice, Floral spray |
| Fabric | Tissue |
| Approx. hours on the frame | 145 hours |
Each piece is worked by hand, so slight irregularities are part of it, not a defect.
The embroidery technique
Worked in sections on the frame and joined at the seams so the fabric is never stretched under its own weight. Jarkan is set in metal cups, each cup stitched down rather than glued, because glue on tissue shows through from the reverse.
What it suits
Receptions and sangeet. Works best with a contrasting plain or medium-work blouse so the body jaal stays the subject.

Returns & alterations
Made-to-measure pieces are not returnable — they are cut against your body. What we do promise in writing: one free alteration within 15 days of delivery for anything on our side, and a loose stone re-fixed free for 6 months. Once a blouse is cut, a neckline or back cannot be made shallower, and a heavily embroidered panel cannot be let out. Full policy
Care
- Dry-clean only. Never machine wash, never soak, never hand-wash. Water dulls zari, tarnishes zardozi wire and can rust the metal in kundan settings.
- Tell your dry-cleaner it is hand embroidery with metal work and stones, and ask for gentle solvent cleaning with the work protected. Avoid cleaners who press the piece flat under a machine.
- For a small mark, dab — do not rub — with a dry white cloth, and take it to the cleaner rather than treating it at home.
- Iron only from the reverse, on low heat, with a cotton cloth between the iron and the fabric.
- Never iron over stones, kundan or 3-D motifs at all. Press the plain areas around them.
- Turn the blouse inside out before storing, so the work faces inward.
